
The Ondo State Government through Ondo East Local Government Education Authority, Bolorunduro, in Ondo State, has written Appreciation letter to an APC chieftain and philantrophist, Barr. Daramola Adesuyi and his Foundation (DAF) for various initiatives carried out in the area to boost education sector.
In the letter signed by Hon (Mrs.) Adebusoye Abiodun, Education Secretary, the authority on behalf of the government applauded Daramola Adesuyi Foundation (DAF) and the founder for their impactful educational programmes which have complimented Government’s efforts in enhancing the standard of the sector.

Hon. Adebusoye said in the letter dated 6th January, 2025, that “On behalf of the State Universal Basic Education Board, Oda Road, Akure, Ondo State, We the entire staff of Ondo East Local Government Education Authority, Bolorunduro under the able leader Honourable (Mrs.) Adebusoye Abiodun Education Secretary sincerely thank your good Organisation (Daramola Adesuyi Foundation) for the moral material and financial support towards the progress of our learners particularly the less privilege among them as government alone cannot do it all.
“It is our prayer that your source of your organization income will never go backward.
“However, God has used your wonderful organization to illuminate heart and life of many homes may his infinite mercies continue to guide, protect, provide and see your Organisation through in all. We shall continue to look forward for your future assistance.”
SOME ACHIEVEMENTS OF DAF IN THE EDUCATION SECTOR
……DAF’s Transformative Impact on Education in Ondo State: A Legacy of Empowerment and Innovation
The Daramola Adesuyi Foundation (DAF) has received an appreciation letter from the Ondo East Local Government Education Authority, Bolorunduro, under the Ondo State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB), acknowledging its outstanding contributions to education and community development. This recognition underscores DAF’s unwavering commitment to inspiring, empowering, and connecting young learners through various educational interventions.
SUPPORTING PUBLIC PRIMARY SCHOOL PUPILS THROUGH PREP EDUCATIONAL OUTREACH
In its mission to improve access to quality education, DAF has prioritized pupils’ welfare through initiatives such as the DAF Scholars Award. In 2024, the Foundation distributed 100 pieces of free school uniforms to pupils across 14 schools in Ondo East Local Government, ensuring every child feels a sense of belonging, confidence, and readiness for learning. According to Barr. Daramola Adesuyi, the Foundation’s Founder, school uniforms promote equality, self-esteem, and pride, fostering a positive learning environment.
Furthering this commitment, DAF awarded tuition support to 80 scholars and distributed PREP Notebooks to encourage academic excellence. The event, which took place on October 2, 2024, at Yangede Palace Compound, Ẹ̀pẹ̀ Town, and Trinity Anglican Primary School, Kolawole, was attended by notable dignitaries, including HRM Oba Issac Oyebade Akinkuade III, Yangede of Ẹ̀pẹ̀, and representatives from Ondo East LCDA.
CAREER COUNSELING AND DIGITAL LITERACY PROGRAMS
Recognizing the importance of career guidance, DAF launched a Career Counseling Program on November 27, 2024, in partnership with the Ondo State Ministry of Education. This initiative provided secondary school students with insights into various career paths and skill development opportunities. During the session, 60 students registered for the DAF Skill Up Development Program (2025), and 50 students received free UTME pre-registration forms, easing their access to higher education.
In alignment with its digital empowerment goals, DAF introduced PREP, an innovative exam preparation platform that makes learning engaging and accessible. Parents and students are encouraged to explore the platform via www.prepapp.com.ng.
CHILDREN’S DAY CELEBRATION AND PLAYGROUND DONATION
On May 27, 2024, DAF marked Children’s Day at St. Peter’s Primary School, Bolorunduro, with a special event for the pupils. As part of its commitment to extracurricular activities, the Foundation donated a playground to the school, encouraging sports and recreational activities that contribute to students’ overall development.
DIGITAL SKILLS & ENTREPRENEURSHIP TRAINING PROGRAM
DAF’s Digital Skills & Entrepreneurship Training Program was launched on February 10, 2025, targeting senior secondary school students in Ondo Town, Ondo State. The training equips students with ICT and entrepreneurial skills, enhancing their career prospects. Sessions are being held across three schools:
Holy Trinity Grammar School, Italu-Owo
Temidire Community Grammar School
CAC Grammar School, Oke Odunwo, Ondo
A key highlight of this initiative is the DAF Rural Solar-Powered Electricity Project, which allows students to gain hands-on experience with solar technology. This project supports Ondo State’s vision for sustainable energy, providing mobile charging hubs and off-grid lighting to rural communities, driving socio-economic growth.
EXPANDING DIGITAL LITERACY TO RURAL SCHOOLS
DAF continues to bridge the digital divide by extending its Digital Literacy Training Program to rural secondary schools in Ondo State. The pilot phase launched at Holy Trinity Grammar School, Ondo East, offers practical training in Basic Computer Operations, Microsoft Word, and Excel, preparing students for careers in the modern digital economy. The program aligns with Ondo State’s Digital Advancement Agenda, ensuring technological inclusion for all students.
Outstanding participants from this training will receive sponsorship for advanced tech programs, providing them with further career opportunities in technology and innovation. By integrating digital literacy with entrepreneurship training, DAF ensures that students develop both technical and business skills, positioning them for future success.
