Panic gripped residents of Odigbo Local Government area of Ondo State as a middle-aged man identified as Emmanuel allegedly cut off the head of his brother, Daniel.
The incident, which happened on Monday evening around Origbara River, has thrown the entire community into chaos.
Some residents who spoke with our correspondent expressed shock over the act, lamenting what could have led to the killing.
“Till now, we don’t know what actually transpired between them that could have led him to kill his stepbrother,” one resident said.
Our correspondent gathered that the two brothers were sons of a popular community police officer identified as “Awilo.”
A police source, however, confirmed the incident to our correspondent.
