…..DAF Set to Launch Rural Solar-Powered Electricity Project to Advance Sustainable Energy Accessibility
As a key outcome of the ongoing Entrepreneurship Training Program on Solar Power Systems, where young minds are being equipped with practical skills for real-world impact, the Daramola Adesuyi Foundation (DAF) is set to launch the DAF Rural Solar-Powered Electricity Project.
This transformative initiative aligns with the Ondo State Government’s commitment to sustainable development and energy accessibility, aiming to address electricity challenges in rural communities through renewable energy solutions.

The project will provide solar-powered electricity, community charging stations, and sustainable lighting solutions to rural communities in Ondo, ensuring residents gain reliable and long-term access to clean energy.

In collaboration with Blessed Paul Technologies Company Enterprises, selected students from the training program will actively participate in solar energy deployment, acquiring invaluable hands-on experience in the renewable energy sector while contributing to real-time community impact.
This initiative is an extension of the 7-Week Digital Skills & Entrepreneurship Training Program, launched on February 10, 2025, to equip senior secondary school students in Ondo Town, Ondo State, with essential digital and entrepreneurial skills. Training sessions are being held across three participating schools:
Holy Trinity Grammar School, Italu-Owo
Temidire Community Grammar School
CAC Grammar School, Oke Odunwo, Ondo
Through the DAF Rural Solar-Powered Electricity Project, students are gaining firsthand experience in solar technology, contributing directly to Ondo State’s vision for sustainable energy and economic growth. By harnessing solar power for electricity, mobile charging hubs, and off-grid lighting, the initiative will drive socio-economic progress and significantly improve the quality of life in rural communities.
