….As he plays host to new Ondo NLC Chairman, Com. Ademola.
Comrade Bola Taiwo, the Special Adviser to the Ondo State Governor on Union Matters and Special Duties, on Friday played host to the new leadership of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC), led by the new State Chairman, Comrade Ademola Olapade.
The NLC Chairman led his SAC members to pay congratulatory visit to the Special Adviser, while it was also an opportunity for the SA to felicitate the new NLC Chairman.
Com. Bola Taiwo said the State Governor, Hon. Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa was very committed to improving welfare of workers and pensioners in the state.
“Mr Governor is paying our workers salaries and pension regularly. Gratuities are being paid by our Governor; so we need to do our job and continue to support the present administration to do more for us.”
The SA who expressed delight over resolution of internal wrangling in Ondo NLC in the last few months, congratulated Comrade Ademola Olapade on his emergence as the NLC Chairman.
He charged the NLC leadership to galvanize all affiliate unions and other labour centres to ensure that the labour movement in the state remains united like before.
Earlier, the new Chairman of NLC, Comrade Ademola Olapade had also congratulated Comrade Bola Taiwo on his reappointment by Governor Aiyedatiwa, promising that workers and unions in the state would give him full support to achieve success.
Com. Olapade reiterated that with his recent election, the labour movement would be more vibrant to defend the interest of members, assuring Governor Aiyedatiwa’s administration of workers’ full cooperation to deliver on his campaign promises.
